This webcast addresses four topics: (1) Mississippi acres and land values, including changes from 2022 to 2023; (2) estimates of production costs for the 2023 crop year and changes from 2022; (3) comparison of net returns; and (4) the impact of interest rates. Although direct costs decreased, fixed costs and interest rates increased. Moreover, lower crop prices are projecting lower income and profits.
