Summary

​Bollworm resistance to Bt cotton is an increasing problem in Louisiana and the Midsouth. This presentation will help growers and agricultural professionals identify areas of Louisiana where, based on preliminary data, 2nd and 3rd generation Bt cottons are failing. Updated thresholds and cultural as well as chemical controls for bollworm will also be presented. 

About the Presenter

Sebe BrownSebe Brown is the field crops extension entomologist for the LSU AgCenter in Central Louisiana and has state wide responsibility in cotton, corn, grain sorghum and soybeans. He received a BS in entomology from Texas A&M University and an MS and PhD in entomology from LSU.​
