Summary

​This presentation reviews on-farm fungicide trials across 41 locations during 2020–2023 and then concludes what has been learned about application timing, increases in disease pressure, and effectiveness of products with mixed modes of action. Possible changes in strategy are considered, as well.

About the Presenter

Terry N. SpurlockTerry N. Spurlock is an associate professor and Extension plant pathologist at the University of Arkansas. His research focuses on the management of diseases of row crops to aid producers in the region in proper disease identification and decision making to maximize production with only necessary inputs. He has Extension responsibilities for diseases of corn, grain sorghum, soybean, cotton, and wheat. Spurlock has a PhD in plant science from the University of Arkansas, an MS in plant pathology from the University of Arkansas, and a BS in agronomy from Texas A&M University.
