Amanda Smith is an Extension economist in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia, Tifton. Her Extension interests include production economics of conservation (cotton, peanuts, corn, and other major grains in Georgia), risk management education (planting decision aids, enterprise budgets, producers’ utilization of conservation programs), production economics of conservation (tillage, precision agriculture, irrigation systems), and conservation policy analysis and education (impacts on producers). Smith holds BS degrees in animal science and agricultural business and an MS degree in agricultural and resource economics from Colorado State University.
