Intiaz Chowdhury is an assistant professor of cotton and vegetable crop nematology at the University of Georgia, Tifton. His research and Extension program focuses on fine-tuning management strategies for plant-parasitic nematodes (PPNs) and developing new management tools based on recent scientific advances. The primary goal of this work is to increase growers’ profit margins by reducing losses caused by PPNs while ensuring good stewardship of land and natural resources. Chowdhury has a BS in microbiology and a PhD in plant pathology—both from North Dakota State University.
