Summary

​This presentation begins by introducing the Agricultural and Food Policy Center and then reviews key factors in world trade for major commodities, including cotton. Discussion next turns to factors underlying U.S. farm policy, including Title 1 improvements, crop insurance, and provisions of proposed bills. Additional topics include the economics of farm bill improvements and options for moving forward with a new bill.  

About the Presenter

Natalie GraffNatalie Graff is a research assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and works with the Agricultural and Food Policy Center. Her research focuses on agricultural policy, livestock economics, livestock policy and risk management, and farm and ranch transitions. She holds a BS in animal science and MS and PhD degrees in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University.
